The state’s intermediate appellate court was created by a legislatively referred constitutional amendment that was approved by voters on November 4, 2014. The new court began hearing cases in January 2015.

All appeals are still filed with the Nevada Supreme Court, which assigns certain cases to the court of appeals for review.
